Friends of Hocking Hills State Park held their 2013 Annual Membership Meeting on January 12 at the new Lake Hope Lodge. Participants enjoyed a delicious lunch buffet provided by Matt Rapposelli, Head Chef.
During the annual business meeting Greg Kidwell, Treasurer reported that in 2012 FHHSP provided over $17,000 in materials and financial support to projects in the Hocking Hills State Park - nearly doubling the support provided in 2011.
Board members Eric Hoffman, Jerry Jividen and Barb Saving were elected to serve additional 3 year terms. New board members Jennifer Allen, Greg Hanlin and Jennifer Starkey were elected to fill vacant seats and will serve three year terms as well.
Following the business meeting, Cara Dingus Brook, CEO & President of Foundation for Appalachian Ohio shared the history of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio and discussed the newly opened FHHSP Endowment Fund.
In recognition of her dedication and contribution to the Friends of Hocking Hills, Dr. Louise "Omie" Warner was presented with the 2012 Volunteer of the Year award.
Immediately following the Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors held their 2013 organizational meeting during which the 2013 Calendar was discussed and election of officers was held.
The newly elected officers for 2013 are:
Jerry Jividen – President
Jennifer Starkey - Vice President
Jennifer Allen – Secretary
Greg Kidwell - Treasurer
